Treptower Park
The “Treptower Park” was sited in an English park style with carp pond, rosarium, many flower beds and large meadows which offer room for playing and relaxing.
Berliners owe this park to gardening director Gustav Meyer. The park was inaugurated in 1888 and belongs to Berlin’s second largest. The park was sited according to his designs. Today a sculpture reminds us of him. Germany’s largest Soviet soldier cenotaph and the Archenhold Observatory are located in the park’s heart.
Taking a walk in the park, the “Zenner”, one of Berlin’s most popular country inn’s with a large beer garden directly at the “Spree” can be reached easily.
