A visit from the President
In September 2010 Bundespräsident Christian Wulff visited Berlin-Köpenick and the guides of the Tourismusverein led him through the historical village center.
In his "Thank You" note it states: "Your guides were able to raise interest and enthusiasm for the Historical "Altstadt Köpenick". The guided walk was the highlight of the day. For sure many of my collegues will be glad to return."

A tour around the historical city hall including the „Hauptmann-Museum“ with an exhibition based on the arrest of the Mayor by shoemaker Wilhelm Voigt 1906; followed by a sightseeing tour of the "Schlossinsel" with the baroque Castle and the Church.

Based on GPS our multi-media-guide leads you barrier-free through the oldest part of the city. At more than 20 stops the history comes alive through pictures, films and sign language for the hearing- or through audio explanations for the visual impaired.

On 16th of October 1906 the cobbler Wilhelm Voigt invaded the city hall, arrested the Mayor and "confiscated" the city treasury. The whole of europe was laughing about that!

Industrial-culture Schöneweide (Duration: ca. 2 hours)
Highlights of Berlin's industrial-culture! „Schöne Weyde“ was an idillic piece of nature located at the river Spree. Beginning in 1885 "AEG" started to construct manufacturing halls along the riverbank. Well known architects designed unique factory buildings which are still well conserved and create their own special athmosphere.
The round trip leading through Schöneweide and across the Spree ends at the "Kranhaus-Cafe" in the former KWO, having coffe and cake or a snack. The Peter- Behrens Turm with a hight of 70m can be visited on request.
